On 24 July 2026, the new European Regulation (EU) 2024/1834 will come into effect. This regulation replaces the previous one and imposes stricter efficiency requirements on ventilators within the European Union. The aim of this stricter legislation is to promote sustainability by reducing energy consumption and increasing the efficiency of industrial applications.
Thanks to their high efficiency, virtually all types of SGS ventilators already comply with these new requirements. However, there is one exception: the SGS-92-D4S model. To ensure this ventilator also complies with the legal standards, the current 2.2 kW motor (IE3) will be replaced by the more efficient IE4 motor. This change applies to all ventilators fitted with a 2.2 kW electric motor.
In addition, three types of SGS ventilators are being permanently phased out. These types are therefore only available on a temporary basis from today:
Practical implications for installation and the complete package
Due to the switch to the new 2.2 kW IE-4 motors, the article numbers for these ventilators have also changed. When ordering or specifying these models, please ensure you use the correct, new article number. Please refer to the updated documentation on the website.
The new IE4 motor is physically longer than the previous IE3 motor. This change has practical implications for the use of combinations with AQC:
Thanks to these mechanical updates, the SGS ventilator range remains fully compliant with the latest European regulations, ensuring energy-efficient and future-proof operation.
